September Blog – From President of Table Tennis Ireland

We are excited to announce the launch of a new monthly blog from our President, Professor Alan Strong MBE, starting this month. Through this blog, Alan will share his insights, reflections, and updates on the growth and direction of Table Tennis in Ireland. It will offer members and supporters a chance to stay connected with the vision, progress, and key developments across the sport.

September Edition:

Elected President – surely not! Following great friend Pat Hunter, is daunting as she gave so much as President – thank you Pat!

Pat’s love of TT didn’t falter, leading six Lisburn-based athletes, including husband Albert, to the Parkinson’s Scottish International Open; pride of place went to Ric Brown with Gold in Class 3. Real winners were the inspiring Irishmen/women.

Meeting Reeha Jael at Senior Classification (2nd) was super – what an inspiration from India, currently studying MSc Applied Clinical Data Analytics (UCG), she loves Ireland! Silver in National Champs (2016), back playing after 7 years – surely a force to be reckoned with?
