Table Tennis Ulster is delighted to offer a fantastic coach development session for club and squad coaches on Saturday 8th March 2025 at Lisburn Racquets Club, Lisburn, 10am-1.30pm
The session will be led by Stephen Gertsen who has a plethora of knowledge of table tennis with a career in the sport spanning many years as a top player (Welsh International). Stephen also has many years’ experiences as a top coach and coach educator having held national coaching positions with Wales, England, and Scotland.
The event is Free of Charge to Coaches who are affiliated to Table Tennis Ireland (refreshments including lunch will be provided).
Coaches are invited to spend the afternoon (all or part) observing the Ulster Junior Performance Squad who are have a training session at Lisburn Racquets led by Stephen.
Coaches will be able to observe Stephen leading the squad and participate as appropriate as players prepare for key events including later in March – the National Championships.

As part of the celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, the WIS Racket Sports Team, (Table Tennis Ireland, Tennis Ireland, Badminton Ireland and Squash Ireland) is delighted to announce that a Women in Sport Leadership Day will be held at Galway Lawn Tennis Club on Saturday 8th March 2025. This will be a fantastic networking opportunity for our female members to meet fellow members from other NGBs and share experiences and challenges. The event is Free of Charge and open to all females in various roles from clubs, or at provincial or national level.

This online workshop is for the benefit of everyone involved in children’s sport (coaches, parents/guardians, sports leaders). It provides introductory information on codes of conduct, bullying, recruitment, etc. as well as child protection guidelines. By following the principles, policy and practical guidelines contained in the Code, sports leaders are playing their part in providing a safe and enjoyable environment in which children can learn and thrive.
This course can specifically help our coaches and clubs gather the right certifications for club affiliation. There are limited spaces available so please book on asap to avoid disappointment.
It costs €10 for affiliated members.
