Table Tennis Ireland (TTI) is seeking a qualified accountant with financial management experience to join its voluntary Board as Finance Director. The role involves providing financial oversight, including monitoring expenditure, preparing quarterly management accounts, reviewing financial policies, liaising with auditors, and presenting financial reports to stakeholders. Key responsibilities also include supporting the Board in maintaining proper financial controls and governance.
The candidate should have strong decision-making skills, attention to detail, integrity, and experience with good governance practices. Prior experience in the non-profit sector and an interest in sports would be advantageous.
The position requires attendance at approximately 8 board meetings, quarterly Audit & Risk Committee meetings, and some additional time commitment (2-3 hours per month). Meetings are mostly held online, with occasional in-person meetings in Dublin. This is an unpaid position, with travel expenses covered.
