The ITTA brought the STIGA Challenger Series to Dunshaughlin Comunnity Centre on Sunday 14th February, where love for the game of table tennis was definitely in the air. A large number of relative newcomers to the game, many of whom were playing their first tournament, travelled to Meath and played out a fantastic day of table tennis. With the focus on providing players with the maximum amount of games, each player managed to squeeze in 10 games in a hectic day’s play.
All the players played the game in the right spirit and eventually were sorted into groups relative to their current ability level following the initial group phase. This resulted in 5 Divisions of 8 players, results of which are:
Div One
1. Daniel Murphy
2. Adam Claffey
3. Joe Robinson
Div Two
1. Emmett Fox
2. Eoin McDermott
3. Stephen J farrell
Div Three
1.Olivia farrell
2. Orna McLouglin
3. John Mansfield
Div Four
1.Killian Dunne
2. Jessie Hayes
3. Chris Brady
Div Five
1. Shane Mullen
2. Scott Jestin
3. Angela Flanagan
Congratulations to all who took part, and particular thanks to all of the volunteers involved in hall set-up and providing a wonderful canteen service for the players, coaches and parents.
