A total of five players from the TTI Para Squad, accompanied by Head Coach, Sam Logue, competed in the inaugural Bergen Para Open competition, which was held 10 – 12 October. A team competition took place on Friday and while the Irish Team of Sam Brennan and Jude Sheldon did not medal , Sean Geoghegan, partnered with Hioggen Sander from the local Bergen club, was a losing semi-finalist. Saturday saw more success with Sam Brennan winning Performance Class 1 outright, while Aoife Kelly finished second overall in Performance Class 3. In the Standing Junior event Sam did well again finishing as the runner up while Jude Sheldon was a losing semi-finalist. We had the classification groups to compete in on Sunday where Sean and Jude finished second and third respectively in Class 8, and Aoife had a third place in Class 11. Thanks to Sam for the coaching throughout the weekend and we look forward to repeating the Bergen experience next year.
