Gavin Maguire is an accomplished table tennis coach and former professional player, recognized for his significant contributions to the sport and his dedication to developing talent in Ireland.
Coaching Experience: With a wealth of experience, Gavin has worked with players across various skill levels, emphasizing the importance of both technical skills and competitive strategies. He served as the Irish Paralympic Coach from 2017 to 2022, participating as a coach and team lead at two Paralympic Games, where he played a key role in guiding athletes to success.
Playing Career: A former professional player in Germany, Gavin has an impressive record, including 13 Senior National Titles. His competitive background provides valuable insights that he imparts to his students, allowing him to connect deeply with their training experiences.
Coaching Philosophy: As a trained coach developer, Gavin is passionate about nurturing the next generation of coaches, believing that fostering coaching talent is essential for the growth of table tennis in Ireland.
