As a follow-up to the Wexford Primary Schools Roadshow held on the 27th and 28th of February, some of the participating schools came together once again yesterday for a fantastic festival of table tennis at the Astro Active Centre, Enniscorthy.
The overall programme was delivered across 8 schools, engaging an incredible 433 pupils. Yesterday’s festival brought together 3 of those schools, with over 100 pupils taking part in a fun-filled day of friendly competition and skills challenges.
A special thank you goes to the staff and management of the Astro Active Centre for their support and for providing such a fantastic venue. The event was made possible through the support of the Women in Sport programme, the participating schools, and Sports Active Wexford, thank you for your support. We’d also like to extend our gratitude to Nicola from SportsActiveWexford for her help and enthusiasm on the day.
Table Tennis Ireland looks forward to continuing our work with these schools throughout the next academic year, with plans already underway for more friendly competitions. Let’s keep the momentum going!
