Table Tennis Ireland Expands Parkinson’s Initiatives

We are delighted to share the incredible progress of our Parkinson’s programs in collaboration with Parkinson’s UK! Over the past year, the Lisburn Racquets Club group has thrived, thanks to the dedication of its members and the support of Parkinson’s UK. Due to its success, additional funding is now in place to establish more groups across Ulster, with the ultimate goal of creating sustainable Parkinson’s table tennis groups in every location. We also aspire to host intergroup competitions across Ulster and Ireland!
In exciting news, we’ve recently launched a six-week table tennis program in partnership with the Cork Parkinson’s Support Group, supported by the Beech Hill and Leeside clubs, Cork Sports Partnership, and Table Tennis Ireland.
Table tennis has proven to be a fantastic way to improve coordination, reflexes, and social connection for those living with Parkinson’s. If you’d like to learn more or set up a group in your area, contact us at [email protected].
