Peadar Sheridan of Ormeau Table Tennis Club made an impressive start in the Swedish Table Tennis League Division 2, putting in a series of solid performances. Competing for Vasters BTK 1 in a match against Lingskoping PK, Sheridan played well, winning four out of five matches, including two doubles. Motala secured an 8-3 win over Lingskoping PK, with Sheridan contributing two singles victories and a closely contested doubles win alongside his partner, Emil Ellerman.
Later in the day, Sheridan continued his impressive form in a match against Vasters BTK 2, winning both of his singles matches after battling through two tough five-setters. He also helped secure another doubles win, contributing to an 8-2 victory for Motala. Coach Conn Higgins expressed his pleasure with Sheridan’s debut in the league, noting his ability to adjust to different playing styles and maintain composure in pressure-filled situations, particularly during the five-set matches.
Higgins also thanked Motala’s team manager for the opportunity to represent Vasters BTK Motala. While Sheridan’s performances have made a positive impact, he remains focused on continuing to improve and contributing to his team’s success for the rest of the season in Swedish Table Tennis League Division 2.
