As part of World Table Tennis Day 23rd April, Ivanna, Leinster CCDO was out and about checking out some Outdoor Table Tennis areas within the South of Leinster.
Carlow Town Park located in Graiguecullen, along the River Barrow has plenty for the family from walks, visiting the swans and a kid’s playground. The park playground was recently refurbished and now includes a concrete Table Tennis Table which gives access to the sport for everyone. Having taken a visit down to try it out it was impressive to see families utilising it and great to have taken an opportunity to give them a free taster session! Talbot Hotel is situated within a 20minute walk of the town park and is ideal for any Table Tennis enthusiast or families looking for a fun free activity to get out this summer and play.
From Carlow I travelled towards Wexford stopping off in Clohaman, to check out its outdoor table. Again, this facility is located within a playground area, so it makes it accessible for the whole family to come out and enjoy. This is located within the village community area.
Onwards to North Wexford to Gorey District Park, Fort Road, which is a spectacular town park with so much space, and it had two outdoor tables available adjacent to the Coffee Pod I spent some time playing here in the lovely southeast sunshine! What a fantastic facility to have in the town and plenty of holiday makers visit Gorey so definitely worth a visit if looking to have a fun family game of Table Tennis.
Do you have an Outdoor Table Tennis Table where you live? Why not get in touch with us and share your playing experience and let us know so we can update our website with the locations.
