The International Table Tennis Federation is pleased to offer three scholarships for young journalists to attend the World Team Table Tennis Championships in Moscow from Sunday 23rd to Sunday 30th May 2010.

It is a splendid opportunity for young journalists enabling them to increase their knowledge about table tennis and the work of the International Table Tennis Federation.

The closing date for applications is Monday 15th March 2010.

Eligibility
Journalists working for newspapers, magazines, sports magazines plus radio and television broadcasters may apply for the Scholarship.

Anyone working for sports associations and their magazines will not be eligible.

A candidate must not be older than 35 years and should have at least three years working experience in sports journalism. Furthermore good knowledge of English is required.

Working Conditions
Free board and accommodation on site, in an official hotel designated for the World Team Table Tennis Championships in Moscow in Russia as well as access to the media facilities will be available for what is a premier annual event in the ITTF calendar.

Airfare and all leisure activities as well as visa application remain the applicant’s responsibility.

Opportunities
Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to meet members of the ITTF Executive Committee, staff and important people from the world of table tennis as well as players.

The International Table Tennis Federation reserves the right to choose freely from the applications and no correspondence will be entered into relating to the selection process.

Selection
Selection will be made by the Chairperson of the ITTF Media Committee whose decision is final.

At least one scholarship will be offered to a female journalist.

PART TIME PRESENTERS REQUIRED FOR LUCOZADE SPORT EDUCATION PROGRAMME

Coaching Ireland is currently recruiting Presenters for the Lucozade Sport Education Programme. The Programme consists of 10 Modules:

             Phase 1:

 Hydration an Introduction

 Nutrition an Introduction

 The Female Athlete

 Get Fit for Sport

 Planning for Success

 Phase 2:

 Lifestyle – Getting the balance right

 Circuit Training – Development of Strength & Conditioning

 Nutrition – Feeding Performance

 Making Weight – Tipping the scales for success

 Hydration – You are what you drink

 Requirements:

·           All Applicants must have a minimum of a Sports Science   Degree or a Degree in Nutrition

 ·           Applicants must be available to deliver workshops at    evenings and weekends

 ·           All applicants must be available for training on 13th &    14th March. Training will be held at a Dublin venue.
