The Board of Table Tennis Ireland is delighted to announce that they have appointed and would like to welcome Sanjeev Shelar as the Communications & Digital Marketing director. His primary focus will be on enhancing communication with our members and stakeholders to elevate our brand and services, with a particular emphasis on digital platforms and social media.
With over two decades of commercial expertise, Sanjeev is a seasoned director and leader specializing in driving strategic initiatives and solving complex problems in technology and digital operations. Currently serving as a Systems Support Director at UnitedHealth Group, a Fortune 500 company ranked among the top 5, Sanjeev is at the forefront of steering impactful change in the industry.
Prior to UnitedHealth Group, Sanjeev played pivotal roles in renowned tech giants, including Meta/Facebook and Dropbox, leading Customer Support Operations for a cumulative period of five years. This experience honed Sanjeev’s skills in navigating dynamic technological landscapes and implementing effective operational strategies.
Before venturing into the tech realm, Sanjeev dedicated 15 years to the telecom industry, driving digital transformation at Eir/Eircom and Level3 Communications. Beyond professional realms, Sanjeev actively contributes to the maritime domain, serving on the Board of the Maritime Institute of Ireland/Irish Maritime Museum.
Sanjeev holds an MBA from the UCD Michael Smurfit Graduate Business School and a Bachelor of Engineering in Industrial Electronics from Mumbai University.
