Donic Dominate NJL

This year’s National Junior League took place in Roadstone, Dublin last weekend.

With 15 teams in attendance split across 3 divisions, a competitive day’s action was guaranteed. In Division 3, Blackrock College B claimed the Division title with some fine wins over Club Donic 3, Manulla Castlebar 3 and Manulla Castlebar 4, before securing a 3-3 draw with their school mates from Blackrock College C. Manulla Castlebar claimed 2nd place in the Division.

Division 2 was won by Manulla Castlebar’s 1st Team, who went unbeaten throughout and secured the title in style.

Division 1 was a battle between 3 teams – Club Donic 1, PSI Boys(made up of the Irish Primary Schools Team in training for international appearance in April) and Blackrock A.  All three teams playes dome great table tennis, and were separated at the end by games countback to decide gold, silver and bronze. 

Congratulations to Club Donic who were the eventual winners,  with Blackrock A securing the silver medals.
