Coaches CPD: Physical Literacy Workshop

Table Tennis Ireland is pleased to announce the next session in our Coaches Continuing Professional Development (CPD) programme, focusing on Physical Literacy.

Physical literacy is widely recognised as a key building block for lifelong participation in sport and physical activity. It encompasses the confidence, competence, motivation and knowledge that enable individuals to engage in physical activity throughout their lives. For coaches, understanding physical literacy can help create more effective, inclusive and enjoyable learning environments for players of all ages and abilities.

This interactive two-hour workshop will explore the origins and definition of physical literacy, the key elements that make up the concept, and the relationship between those elements. Participants will also discuss the role of coaches in developing physical literacy and consider whether physical literacy can be assessed.

The session is suitable for coaches at all levels and will provide practical insights that can be applied directly within a table tennis setting.
