The 20th of October marked the 105th Birthday of  Josef Veselsky, Life President of the Irish Table Tennis Association and former President of the Swaythling Club.

Joe was surrounded by his family and friends, including Sweden’s Hans Westling, who for many years was the organiser of the World Veteran Championships, and Joe Hickey.

A group from Slovakia entertained with song and dance.

Resident in a nursing home, Joe Veselsky was in typical good humour, welcoming all with open arms and a broad smile.
