The ITTA Ranking Committee has just published its first ranking lists of the season 2011/2. The Committee has, as is the normal procedure after the first event of the season, further tested the new Ranking Scheme and has recommended an amendment to the Scheme which has been approved by the ITTA Board. The Scheme (Edition 1.2) has been updated to allow points earned from matches won and lost in the Qualification event to be retained by players who qualify for the Classification event.
John Murphy retains his No. 1 place in the Men’s List despite, by his high standards, a poor Senior Classification event. In the Women’s List, Amanda Mogey moves back to the No. 1 place following her win in the Classification event.
The amended Scheme is here and new rankings can be downloaded from here.
