Awards for Sport Northern Ireland

Awards for Sport is a small grants programme developed, funded and administered by Sport Northern Ireland.

Awards for Sport aims to increase participation in sport and physical recreation, especially amongst underrepresented groups.

Awards range from £1,000 to £10,000.

All applications must be submitted online no later than 12noon on Monday 26 September 2011.

Information Sessions

Sport Northern Ireland will host various information sessions throughout Northern Ireland.

These information sessions will all take place between 7.00pm-9.00pm at the following venues:

  • 15/08/11 Riversdale Leisure Centre (Strabane)
  • 18/08/11 Dungannon Leisure Centre
  • 22/08/11 Joey Dunlop Centre (Ballymoney)
  • 25/08/11 QUB Dub Pavilion (Belfast) – FULLY BOOKED
  • 25/08/11 QUB Dub Pavilion (Belfast) – 12.30pm-1.30pm

This is a fantastic opportunity for clubs within Northern Ireland to avail of some much needed funding. For help with completing applications, or providing templates for a constitution or child protection policy please contact [email protected] or 028 90383811. I have attached the guidance notes regarding the application process, however there is a wealth of information available on the SportNI website (address listed above).

I strongly urge that clubs attend the information sessions to get as much knowledge as possible regarding the application process. There is huge demand all ready for this programme so attending one of these sessions may help you to get a clearer idea of what SportNI are looking for when assessing your application.
