Table Tennis Ireland is delighted to publish the official report from the 2026 National Championships, held on 21–22 March at the National Basketball Arena in Tallaght. Over two action‑packed days, players from across the country came together to compete in Ireland’s flagship domestic event, showcasing the depth of talent, commitment, and passion within our table tennis community.
This year’s Championships saw a significant increase in entries, reflecting the continued growth of the sport nationwide. While the unprecedented demand required some difficult on‑the‑day decisions, including the cancellation of doubles events, the overall atmosphere, standard of play, and level of engagement made the weekend a standout success.
The report highlights key moments from across the Championships, including senior, junior, and para events; standout performances from established champions and emerging talents; and reflections from Table Tennis Ireland CEO David McNally on the direction and future of the sport. It also acknowledges the vital contribution of our sponsors, volunteers, officials, coaches, parents, and supporters who helped deliver the event.
Importantly, the report also includes a link to the post‑event feedback survey, and we strongly encourage all players, coaches, officials, and spectators to share their views. Your feedback plays a key role in shaping the planning and delivery of future National Championships.
